Ambassador of Japan to Saint Christopher and Nevis

Ambassador Tatsuo Hirayama
Welcome to the website of the Embassy of Japan for Saint Christopher and Nevis! My name is Tatsuo Hirayama, and I have assumed the post of the Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago in January 2019 and presented credentials to H.E. Sir Samuel Seaton, Governor General of Saint Christopher and Nevis on March 18, 2019. Saint Kitts is a beautiful island nation in the Caribbean and a famous port-call destination of many Caribbean cruise tours. It has the historic Brimston Hill Fortress Park, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage in its capital, Basseterre. Japan and Saint Kitts have maintained excellent relations over the last 30 years based on shared fundamental values such as democracy and rule of law. Japan, as a development cooperation partner, has extended development assistance in a number of areas including climate change, disaster prevention and management as well as sustainable use of marine resources. When the Honourable Mark Brantley, Saint Kitts Foreign Minister visited Japan and met Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono in November 2018, the two Foreign Ministers discussed how our bilateral relations and Japan-CARICOM relations would be further strengthened. Our Embassy is also committed to doing our utmost to further enhance our superb relations in many areas. I humbly ask for your kind support and cooperation to do so. Tatsuo Hirayama Ambassador of Japan to Saint Christopher and Nevis
